THIVIERS, A CAPITAL IN GREEN PERIGORD
Built on Puy to 276 meters, dominating largely a hilly and verdant hollow in which bask rivers, Thiviers has always been considered a place of passage, a place to live. Providing a natural transition between the Limousin and the great North province of Aquitaine in south Thiviers is a gateway to the south of Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin.

Mainly agricultural region which has diversified its activities, livestock, grain crops, walnut groves, etc.., THIVIERS has a large weekly market where all the local products are offered. This market is held every Saturday morning throughout the year, modernized in the interests of hygiene, he nevertheless kept the flavor of the Great South West markets.
